Our creative space on the canal
Renovated by a crew of like-minded comrades, this North Sea oil tanker lifeboat has been reclaimed and repurposed for the people of Glasgow.
The 1Boom is a venue to share skills, stories and experience. A small space to host workshops, create art, sing, dance, broadcast, write, discuss, inform, eat and play.
We want visitors of the 1Boom to bring new ideas on how to use the space and help us make it happen.

Our current fundraiser...
So far we have been self-funded but we are now in the final stage of the renovation and we are asking for donations from anybody who likes the sound of the project and shares our vision for the potential 1BOOM has. Any donated funds would go directly towards renovation, mooring, insurance, and other set-up costs. Our collective is also very much open to long term contributors who want to make a small regular financial contribution and get involved in the practical work of developing the 1BOOM.
